Dark Chocolate Rice Crispy Bars

A delicious treat, combining the rich, dark chocolate with the crunchy texture of childhood favourite cereal rice crispies.

Ingredients
  

  • 300 g dark chocolate
  • 150 g rice crispies
  • 100 g peanut butter
  • 100 g dried cranberries

Method
 

  1. Melt the dark chocolate in a heatproof bowl over simmering water, stirring occasionally until smooth.
  2. Add the rice crispies and dried cranberries to a bowl and add the chocolate mixture and peanut butter gently fold until evenly coated.
  3. Transfer the mixture into a lined square baking tin and press it down to an even layer.
  4. Refrigerate for a couple of hours, or until the bars are firm.
  5. Slice into bars and enjoy!

Notes

Swap peanut butter for almond or cashew butter for a different nutty flavour.
Replace dried cranberries with raisins or dried apricots for a different fruit alternative.
