Hello! I’m Tara.

I am a gym owner, a personal trainer and also a certified nutritionist.

I’ve always had a deep love for food—mostly eating it, to be honest, since my passion for cooking didn’t really come about until my early twenties. Growing up in an Indian family, food and mealtimes were a central part of life. I’m grateful to have been immersed in a world of herbs, spices, and flavours which exposed me to different foods from a young age.

My heritage, combined with being born and raised in London, meant that I was surrounded by a diverse range of cultures and cuisines. Whether it was mealtime at a friend’s house or exploring pop-ups, restaurants, and food stalls, the celebration of food has always been present in my life.

How It Started

This love for food eventually led me to start a blog many years ago, and I’ve loved the experiences it brought me—like learning to make pastry and a cheese soufflé from Raymond Blanc, which remains a favourite memory. As you can see from the photo’s, Iphones have come along way!

When I began working in the fitness industry, diet culture was at its peak. Soup diets, juice cleanses, low-carb diets—so many trends and fads were constantly circulating. As an Indian, where “double carbs” are the norm (rice and naan or roti with meals!), it was challenging to see the media frame food in such a negative light, with certain foods labeled as “good” or “bad.”

I’ve worked is this industry for over 15 years one to one with clients. Working long hours myself, I understand the challenges that come with juggling busy workdays, so I want to make it easier for everyone to access nutritious tasty recipes that can fit in with your day to day life and make it easier for you to also reach your fitness goals.
